Aumtech, Inc announced today the availability of its MRCP 2.0 Connector for the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server.
The release of Microsoft’s Speech Server (2007) has generated a great deal of interest from solution providers and customers. With state-of-the-art Speech Recognition and Text-To-Speech (TTS) now available starting at $699 per server, the price barrier limiting speech deployment is finally broken. Office Communications Server 2007 is really taking speech technology mainstream.
Speech Server (2007) includes bundled the Microsoft Speech Recognizer 9.0 and the RealSpeakTM 4.0 Text-to-Speech, an OEM product from Nuance. There are currently five released speech recognition and TTS languages (US English, UK English, Canadian French, US Spanish, and German), plus an additional 9 TTS-only language packs (French French, Iberian Spanish, Italian, Korean, Japanese, simplified as well as traditional Mandarin, Australian/New Zealand English, Brazilian Portuguese), which all are included at no additional cost.
